It’s a good product for a quick temperature check. In my small test it showed quite accurate temperature. I set my ac to 24c temp and observed what reading is shown on the device. The device showed around 24.5c temp when the ac compressor stopped. Since the ac compressor had stopped so the temp in the device started rising. At around 25.9c the compressor started again and kept running till temp in the device reached 24.4c. All this is fairly accurate. My device came with a single AAA battery. It needs 1 AAA battery to operate.

I purchased this device to check the relative-humidity inside my house in Chennai and then to decide if I need evaporative-air-cooler or an air-conditioner. It was around 82% most of the time so I decided to go for AC.
Later I wanted to validate the accuracy of the device. So I took the device to my hometown (Theni) and it showed relative humidity of around 50%, which is correct. Then I also checked the device inside AC room (see attached image). So far the device did the job well. I am not sure about the longevity of this product.
